I have some general information about booking and the next steps to take here on this page but choosing a photographer and a package is one of the biggest decisions of your wedding and I want to be there to help walk you through it! I would consider it vibrant and as true to tone as I am able to get it. Living on the west coast I feel I am influenced a lot by the dramatic landscapes and moody skies but that completely depends on the weather. I love light or moody but that is fully in the hands of mother nature and whatever weather she decides to grace us with!
what is your approach to wedding photos?
I tend to lean more towards the documentary style of wedding photography and I’m always on the lookout for genuine laughter and emotion. I will prompt and have fun with some posing with you over the course of the day but over all I try to fit in with the rest of the gang and capture things as they unfold!
Do you travel for weddings?
I sure do! I love to travel and exploring new places is a huge love of mine. Shoot me a message and lets talk!
Do you have insurance?
Yes, myself and my gear are covered for $2 Million commercial and general liability.
When can we expect to recieve our finished photos?
During my busy season completing a fully album generally takes 10-12 weeks. I do not like to rush editing my albums and like to make sure I have the time I need to give them all of the love and attention they deserve. I do absolutely send a preview album with a cross section of photos from throughout your day to give you an idea of what to expect and to share with family and friends while you wait!
WHAT IF MY WEDDING DATE CHANGES?
Once you have paid your retainer and signed your contract, if you decide to postpone or change your wedding date for any reason, I am always happy to accommodate your decision as long as I am given advanced notice and the new date is on a day I am available.
WILL YOU HELP ME FIND VENDORS?
I have a list of lovely wedding venders based on the Sunshine Coast that I frequently work with that I would be happy to provide you with!
What is your booking process?
After I receive your inquiry and ensure I am available on your date I will send along a Pricing and info sheet with detailed information to help you decide how many hours of coverage you want to book. After finalizing those details I will send an online contract for you to sign. A retainer of 25% is due upon booking to complete the reservation of your wedding date.
What are printing rights?
Printing rights are included with your weddings photos. This essentially means that I give you full rights to download and print your photos however, wherever and as many times as you choose!
I do however have a print shop with quality printing options I am happy to direct you to if you wish!

HOW FOR IN ADVANCE DO YOU BOOK?
I take on a limited amount of sessions per month so booking early is key to ensuring you get a spot during the month you're hoping for! Booking 1-3 months in advance is usually good, summer\fall months are busier than winter.
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS?
After you initially contact me I will send you a detailed info and pricing information page to take a look over. After deciding we would be a good fit you'll reach out and we will determine a day, I will send you a contract and invoice for a retainer to hold the date.
CAN WE BRING THE DOG?
100% YES PLEASE!!! I love dogs and personally consider my own my first child and major member of the family! They can add so much playfulness and comfort to a session for kids and add character to the photos!
WHAT TIME OF DAY WILL MY SESSION BE?
I can take photos at any time of day but if you're wanting that dreamy golden light in your images that can not be achieved at 2 pm in the middle of summer. As a rule of thumb at sunrise and the hour before the sun sets are the prettiest lights of the day!
WHAT IF IF RAINS?
If it is a light sprinkle we will go ahead with the session. We live on the west coast of Canada and it is rare in the fall and winter months to get a day where there isn't any rain at all! If it is bucketing down however I'll call it half an hour before the session is supposed to start and we will do our best to get you rescheduled as soon as possible!
WHAT IS YOUR PRICING?
Family, maternity, and lifestyle newborn sessions start at $400 for one hour at a location within 20 minutes of Sechelt. Sessions farther than this will be subject to a small travel fee. Posed in studio newborn sessions are $500 and include floral arrangements.
WHAT KIND OF FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY DO YOU DO?
I do family sessions, extended family sessions, maternity sessions, in home newborn lifestyle sessions and posed newborn sessions.
What time of day will our session be?
For outdoor maternity, lifestyle newborn or family sessions the best light of the day is in the first hour after the sun sun rises or the last hour before the sun sets. If it is calling for sun I will try and schedule your session as close to this time as possible to get the most beautiful light! If we are shooting on a cloudy day or in the forest earlier in the day is preferable.
I am NOT the photographer you hire if you want that perfecltly posed photo. I mean, absolutely bring the mini marshmellows to bribe that one shot of everyone shot of everyone clean and looking at the camera for your grandma but... Kids are messy, they're wild, they're fun and I think family photos should show that. If you're game for grabbing ice cream or running around the beach giving belly tickles, getting your toes sandy and just generally having a damn good time with your kids. I'm your girl.
